When is Snowbombing 2026?

The official core festival dates are Monday 6th April 2026 – Saturday 11th April 2026. However, for those looking to attend our opening parties and maximise their time in the mountains, we recommend arriving on Saturday 4th April or Sunday 5th April, and departing on Sunday 12th April.

Why should I extend my stay?

Extend your stay to join us for our opening and closing parties and make the most of your time in the mountains with extra days on the slopes. When booking, you will have the option to arrive early or extend your stay by selecting your arrival date in the booking widget.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, you must be at least 18 years of age to book and attend Snowbombing. Snowbombing security staff will ask for proof of age ID and anyone less than 18 years of age will be declined entry to any of Snowbombing’s licensed venues.

Can I book a day wristband?

Day wristbands are not available. Due to capacity constraints, we only sell full weeklong festival wristbands to be purchased alongside accommodation for a minimum of 5 nights.

I live / work in Mayrhofen. Is there an opportunity for local residents and seasonaires to purchase Snowbombing festival wristbands?

Yes. Wristbands for local residents will be available via the Mayrhofen Tourist Board Office, based in the Europahaus. Snowbombing wristbands for local residents can only be purchased with the correct identification and eligibility will be strictly checked.

If I want to cancel my package, will I get a refund?

If you or a member of your party cancels it may increase the cost per person of the package for those of your group still planning to attend the festival. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel package the following charges apply:

Period before departure in which you notify us Cancellation Charge*

91 days or more

               100% of total booking cost

Are the parties in the mountains or the village?

The festival is split between the mountains (12pm–4pm) and the village (3pm–early hours). Simply hop on a ski lift, then walk or ski a short distance to some of the world’s most unique venues. At the end of the day, take the lift back down, grab dinner, get changed, and get ready for the music and fun ahead.

For more details about our sensational venues and how to get there, just head to the Lineup & Venues page here.

Note: a lift pass or mountain pass is required to access mountain venues, but you do not need to ski or snowboard to all mountain venues.

What makes Snowbombing the ultimate alpine experience?

Snowbombing is the luxury ski holiday at the very heart of a music festival. A completely unique way to experience music festivals and Austrian culture. Established in 1999, Snowbombing is the original mountain music festival, a pioneering mountain music event that emerges each spring in one of Europe’s (and the world’s) finest ski resorts – Mayrhofen. Snowbombing is home to world-class artists, unique venues and stages, numerous piste runs and loads of fun you just can’t miss.

Outside of the music and the mountains, enjoy so much more fun and games such as Chairlift Speed-Dating, Snolympic Games, wellness experiences, comedy shows and so much more.

This is the place to live in the moment, embrace enjoyment and experience a weeklong whirlwind of never-ending excitement.

When can I see the lineup?

Check out the Snowbombing lineup on the Lineup & Venues page here.

Which venues do I get access to with my Snowbombing wristband?

Your wristband gets you into all announced Snowbombing venues, parties and events – except for our ticketed events, “Mountaintop Brunch”, “Bongo’s Bingo Biggest Ever Snow Show”, or any “Snowbombing Wellness” experiences.

What time do the venues open and close?

Mountain venues generally run from 12pm to 4pm, with the last lift down to town at 4:30pm. Evening entertainment kicks off in-town from 3pm until the early hours.

What's the resort of Mayrhofen like?

We’re lucky to call this stunning alpine resort home each April, hosted by friendly locals who love Snowbombing as much as we do. Mayrhofen is a charming alpine village filled with traditional Tyrolean lodges, nestled in the breathtaking Zillertal Valley, offering some of Europe’s best mountain views. The town is packed with hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops, all within easy walking distance.

Where can I eat and drink in Mayrhofen?

Mayrhofen has something for every taste – from quick bites before hitting the venues to luxurious dining and authentic Austrian cuisine.

What is there to do in Mayrhofen other than skiing or snowboarding?

There are plenty of activities for non-skiers and non-boarders, or those looking for some extra fun. Mayrhofen offers plenty of other activities to explore and enjoy, including winter hiking, mountaintop yoga & pilates, hot tub oasis, spa experiences, floating meditation, chairlift speed-dating, the snolympics, and so much more. There’s something for everyone to make your trip unforgettable.

Is it suitable for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers/boarders?

Absolutely. The slopes cater to all levels, whether it’s your first time or your hundredth. Lessons – from beginner group sessions to private advanced coaching – can be added through your Customer Dashboard.

How can I get around the resort?

A Ski Bus runs every 30 minutes during the day until 5:30pm, stopping at the surrounding areas of Mayrhofen (including Hippach & Ramsau). After that, a Night Shuttle covers the same route every 30 minutes into the early hours, making it easy to get back from late-night venues. Official Snowbombing taxis are also available – look for their stickers and displayed rates.

Is there car parking available in the resort?

Parking spots are limited throughout the resort. Some hotels offer parking, but availability and costs vary – please check with your accommodation in advance.

Is Snowbombing suitable for persons with reduced mobility?

Snowbombing is generally suitable for those with reduced mobility. However, the requirements of the traveller will need to be taken into account before assessing the suitability of this trip for a specific person. Please contact Customer Services and our team will be able to advise. They are available 09:00-17:30, Monday – Friday, on +44 (0) 161 768 0244 or via email at [email protected].
