Welcome to SB24, you’ve finally made it! Now that you’ve dropped off your bags and collected your wristbands, you’re probably feeling a bit peckish after the long commute to the scenic town of Mayrhofen. Below, we’ve included some of the best food spots to refuel yourself during the week, including the best lunch spots, suggestions for elegant, sit-down dinners, plus post-rave food pick-up sites.
Best suited for: meat-eaters ?
Enjoy some of the best steaks in town at the family-run Cafe Tirol Steakhouse, located in the middle of the genial Mayrhofen. Not a fan of steak? Explore other tasty options on the menu, including Austrian, Thai and Italian cuisine and a variety of food available from soups to burgers to cakes.

Hans the Butcher is the fabled hotspot of the town, home to the infamous Hans and his meat. This little food spot has been the site of pop-up raves over previous Snowbombing years, so a visit here for lunch is an absolute must during SB23. Hans cooks up some insanely tasty meat burgers with schnitzel, bratwurst and the best pork rolls. We love you, Hans!

Mo’s is the spot if you’re looking for plenty of choices with something for everyone. The food ranges from Thai to Italian to Indian but also has your classic burgers and pizza. Mo’s goes above and beyond to provide gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan and veggie options. If your group can’t come to a decision on where you want to eat, get down to Mo’s instead!

Check out Ellie’s Diner for burgers and superfood bowls that are good for the soul. Start your day right with their brunch or enjoy a break from the mountain with some lunch in the diner, located just a short walk from the Penkenbahn lift. With a focus on the freshest ingredients, Ellie’s will have you feeling energised and ready for a day (and night) of SB parties.

During your week at Snowbombing, why not try some traditional Austrian cuisine?
One of the most famous Austrian dishes is the Wiener Schnitzel. This gorgeous dish is a tender piece of veal covered in golden breadcrumbs and served with a hearty portion of vegetable and potatoes. Usually served with a slice of lemon which you can squeeze over to give it that little bit of zing!?
Another traditional Austrian dish that you have to try at SB24 is Apfelstrudel (Apple Strudel). After a long day of skiing, apres and raving, tuck in to this comforting dessert – warm sweet apples in a delicious pastry, sometimes served with vanilla sauce or ice cream ?
Best suited for: The beer lovers?
Hosting top SB DJs, Grillhofalm – aka the Snowpark Terrace – is the ultimate mountaintop spot for feet-stompingly addictive tunes in the snow while you can grab lunch. With a view of the Snowpark next door, watch some boarders throwing tricks and enjoy pizza, hotdogs and an ice-cold stein. It doesn’t get better than that!

Up at the top of the Penken lift, you can find Pilzbar, or as you may know it, The Mountain Stage. Easily accessible on foot as well as on skis or snowboards, sit outside on the terrace and enjoy some incredible food while you soak in the mountain views. Expect some wholesome home cooking food and Italian dishes.

Best suited for: Those that love a meal with a view?
With incredible panoramic mountain views, Schneekerhütte is one of the best lunch spots up top. Enjoy some regional delicacies from the highest point in the Mayrhofen mountains in Schneekerhütte’s unique pyramid architecture. Champagne breaky anyone?
