The Penken is the main artery of Mayrhofen. With a state-of-the-art cable car ferrying an incredible 3,840 passengers per hour, expect no queues, a speedy service (8 minutes to the top) and mountains of pistes to explore at over 2500m. The Ahorn boasts the longest artificially snow-covered downhill run in the Zillertal, descending from 2,000m down to the valley floor – great for newbies or those looking for an easy ride. The Glacier is an out-of-town, world-famous ski spot, with 230km of perfectly groomed ski runs for all levels and abilities.

Learn To Ski & Snowboard

Snowbombing is the perfect place to learn to board or ski. There are daily lessons with qualified instructors and numerous nursery slopes for newcomers to practice together. We also offer more advanced sessions for those piste-pros looking to perfect their technique.

Not for you? You don’t have to ski to enjoy Snowbombing. Every day at the festival there are parties, activities and unique mountain experiences that don’t involve strapping on a pair of skis. Grab a sled and smash the Snolympic games, or dance the day away at our mountaintop venues – come evening, everyone enjoys the après-ski together!

Sustainability At Snowbombing

We pride ourselves on working as a community to protect our winters, save our snow and preserve the local Zillertal Alps nature park. The resort’s economical cycle is about as local as it gets – from locally sourced beer, baked goods, meats and more, we’ve swapped out festival style traders for locally sourced cuisines. We offer a range of green travel options, including coach travel from the UK, shared customer airport transfers, and our infamous Road Trip, which encourages 100 cars of festival-goers to carpool across Europe. Sustainability is at the heart of Snowbombing.
