Snowbombing solo is a fantastic option and a huge hit with solo travellers. These rooms are designed for the nomads of the Snowbombing land who want to travel the world (or Mayrhofen) solo and make a load of new pals along the way! Have no fear if your mates are making lame excuses not to book up – we have shared dorm rooms, offering excellent value for money and the opportunity to meet like-minded independent travellers. Alternatively, there are a number of single rooms available in a variety of hotels.
Make sure you join the SB25 Facebook group here to get to know other solo Snowbombers hitting the slopes in April!
The Festival
Our venues and entertainment are split between the mountain from 12pm-4pm, and the village from 5pm-6am. You can dance the day away at our panoramic terrace parties at 6,000ft or sip an ice-cold stein with epic mountain sights and a soundtrack to match – just hop on the ski lift, then walk or ski a short distance to some of the most unique venues in the world. For more details about our sensational venues and how to get there, just head to the Lineups & Venues page or view the Google Map on our Festival App.
Please note: You will need a lift pass to access our Mountain Venues. Although you don’t need to ski or snowboard to all mountain venues, it is easier to get to The Snowpark Terrace this way.
Snowbombing is the luxury ski holiday at the very heart of a music festival. A completely unique way to experience music festivals and Austrian culture. Established in 1999, Snowbombing is the original mountain music festival, a pioneering mountain music event that emerges each spring in one of Europe’s (and the world’s) finest ski resorts – Mayrhofen. Snowbombing is home to 100+ artists, 15+ venues, numerous piste runs and loads of fun you just can’t miss.
Some of our state of the art headline venues include The Racket Club, our 3000 person capacity raver’s paradise fitted with incredible sound systems, CO2 cannons and visuals like you’ve never seen before and The Brück’n Stadl, our late night lodge serving up bangers all night long.
Outside of the music and the mountains, enjoy so much more fun and games such as Chairlift Speed-Dating, Snolympic Games, comedy shows and so much more.
This is the place to live in the moment, embrace enjoyment and experience a weeklong whirlwind of never-ending excitement.
Announcements for the SB25 lineup are coming soon! Check out our previous lineups HERE.
Your wristband gets you into all announced Snowbombing venues, parties and events – except for our ticketed events, “Mountaintop Brunch” and “Bongo’s Bingo Biggest Ever Snow Show”. Ticketed events will go on sale closer to the time of SB25 via your Customer Dashboard, we will let you know when they are available!
While each venue’s opening hours vary across the week, in general, you can expect the mountain venues to be open between 12 – 4 pm, with the last lift to town heading down at 4:30 pm. From then the night kicks off with entertainment at the in-town venues from 5 pm until the early morning.
Mayrhofen - The Resort
There are lots of amazing places to eat and drink around Mayrhofen. Whether you fancy a quick bite to eat before heading out to the headline venues, or you fancy a slice of luxury or traditional Austrian cuisine, Mayrhofen has it all.
Feel free to check out our Local Mayrhofen Food Guide here.
If skiing and snowboarding isn’t your bag, do not worry! Mayrhofen has so many activities to offer other than snow sports.
Check out our Local Mayrhofen Activities guide here.
Mayrhofen has slopes to cater for skiers and boarders of all abilities. Whether it’s your first time on the mountain or your 100th, make the most of it and book lessons, ranging from beginner to private and advanced lessons, all of which can be added on via your Customer Dashboard.
There is a Ski Bus that tours all of the surrounding areas of Mayrhofen (including Hippach & Ramsau) that runs every 30 minutes during the day, up until 5.30pm. When this bus stops, there is a Night Shuttle running the same route every 30 minutes. This will run until the early hours of the morning, meaning you will be able to get back to your accommodation with ease when leaving the late night music venues.
There are also SB taxis around the resort that you can jump in, look out for their official Snowbombing stickers which also show their rates.
The streets are limited parking places throughout the resort. There is one dedicated car park that we recommend for those on the Road Trip and some of the larger hotels also offer parking, but this may be limited and come at a cost, so please check with your hotel first.
We’re so lucky to call this stunning alpine resort our home and to be hosted by such welcoming and friendly locals each April, who love Snowbombing as much as we do.
Expect charming cultural quirks and mouth-watering cuisine from the incredible array of hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops dotted around town, all within walking distance. The town itself is an idyllic alpine village packed with traditional Tyrolean lodges and builds, sitting snugly inside the stunning Zillertal Valley – home to some of the best views in Europe.
