Unfortunately, day tickets are not available. Due to capacity constraints, we can only sell full Snowbombing week wristbands for a minimum of 5 nights, which are complimentary when buying accommodation and are not sold separately.
Snowbombing wristbands are only available to those who book an accommodation through the official Snowbombing website. We normally sell a limited number of wristband only tickets as we approach the event, but there are no guarantees that this will happen. To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend booking an accommodation and festival ticket package with us!
Your VIP ticket will grant you fast track wristband collection on arrival at Snowbombing, fast track entry to all venues, VIP areas in The Racket Club, Street Party, Bruck’n Stadl and Forest Stage, first dibs on high demand extras such as the Arctic Disco, 10% off all Snowbombing merchandise at the event, a complementary lanyard programme, a free welcome drink on arrival and maybe even a fist bump with one of the SB superstar DJs. Maybe… There are a very limited number of VIP upgrades available for £100 (that’s only £20 per day). Grab yours ASAP in the booking process or from your customer dashboard.
Your wristband gets you into all announced Snowbombing venues, parties and events – except for the Arctic Disco, which is sold as a separately ticketed event. In order to attend this event, you will need to book online and add ticket(s) as an optional extra from your customer dashboard. Please note: Tickets for the Arctic Disco go on sale in January 2020. Other ticketed events may also be announced over the course of the year. For the most up-to-date information, follow us on social media and sign up to the newsletter.
Pre-purchased lessons will be listed on your QR e-ticket, which will be scanned on arrival in exchange for a voucher for Ski School. Your first lesson is ALWAYS the day after arrival. Please meet outside the Hotel Strass next to the Penken suited & booted & with your lift pass, at 0900hrs. Following your first lesson, your instructor will tell you when and where to meet for your lessons.
Yes, you can pre-book your equipment hire at the time of booking or at a later stage via your customer account. Pre-booking is highly recommended, as we wouldn’t want you to get to resort and your options to be limited. Please note, hire shops generally don’t do boot hire above a size 10, any shops that do have limited stock, so if you wear any size higher than this it is recommended that you take your own boots along with you to avoid disappointment.

The extras include: Ski hire, Ski lessons, Lift Passes, Arctic Disco tickets, Insurance, VIP Upgrades, Airport Coach Transfers, Coaches from the UK and the official Snowbombing Road Trip.

Return airport transfers run from Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck airports on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 18th, 19th of April 2020. If you’re looking for airport coach transfers outside the standard event arrival and departure dates, you’ll need to arrange your own transfer.
The Road Trip consists of 500+ Snowbombers in 100+ cars on a cross country adventure from Kent to Mayrhofen, often alongside a whole host of Snowbombing artists and celebrities. You will have an overnight pit stop en route, with DJs and entertainment, as well as the famous welcome procession driving down the main street in Mayrhofen kicking the festival off in style. Costing £299 per vehicle of 5 occupants (only one person needs to add this to their booking).
The streets are limited on car parking places throughout the resort. There is one dedicated car park that we recommend for those on the Road Trip and some of the larger hotels also offer parking, but this may be limited and come at a cost, so please check with your hotel first.
We don’t sell flights. However, by signing up to our newsletter you will get the latest information sent right to your inbox, via our ‘Flights of the Week’ mailer.
There is a train station just outside the centre of the resort that services indirect trains from Munich and Innsbruck airport. These can be viewed here.
Groups & Solo Travellers
Want a free trip to SB20? Gather your gang and get booking – for every 11 bookings in a group, the 11th place goes free! If you have been put in charge of organising your group trip to Snowbombing then the first thing you need to do is get yourself set up as one of our Snowbombing Ambassadors. By becoming an SB Ambassador, you will get a personalised group page where your friends can make their bookings. To manage your group booking, click here.
Please note: The 11th place will need to be paid in full and will be refunded up to 30 days after the event.
This fantastic option is a huge hit with the Solo travellers. These rooms are designed for the nomads of the Snowbombing land who want to travel the world (or Mayrhofen) solo and make a load of new pals along the way! Have no fear if your mates are making lame excuses not to book up – we have shared dorm rooms, offering excellent value for money and the opportunity to meet like-minded independent travellers. Alternatively, there are a number of single rooms available in a variety of hotels.
Yes of course, we have options to suit every group size and budget. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] for more information and to receive a quote.
In 2015, we introduced RFID technology to Snowbombing. This technology is full of loads of great benefits: minimal waiting times at bars, no fumbling with coins/tokens, no trips to the ATM at night or carrying around large amounts of cash and an enhanced overall experience!
Simply ‘Tap’ your wristband to the scanner to complete your payment!
Entry and exit to all main Snowbombing venues is controlled via RFID technology, so you will need your cashless wristband in order to gain access to them. The Snowbombing bars, with the exception of a few (see below), are also all cashless only – so if you want a drink, you need to top up!
The Racket Club, The Fun Haus, The Street Party, The Forest Stage, The Bruck’n Stadl, The Arena and the official SB merchandise stands.
The Ice Bar, The Sports Bar, Mo’s Bar, and all the restaurants and mountain venues, including the Arctic Disco.
You will be sent information before the festival on how to activate your Cashless account. Once you have done this, we recommend topping up before you land in Austria. As well as being a great way to save up your spends, topping up before the festival comes with some great incentives such as free drinks, cashback and entry into competitions. As well as the online Top Up service, we provide plenty of Top Up points around resort for you to keep your wristband loaded – you can top-up in Sterling or Euros, in cash or on card.
Alternatively, if you don’t fancy constantly having to go back to a Top Up point, why not enable the Auto Top Up feature on your account? Once your account drops below a certain amount, simply set your account to automatically top up a certain amount of Euros, to the amount of your choosing.
No more fumbling for change, just pre-load money onto your account and you’re set for the duration of the event.
This really depends on where you eat (and how much you plan on drinking), but we would say a nice mid-ground benchmark would be budgeting 70 Euros a day. However, we’ve seen Snowbombers do it on a lot less, and a lot more! Average drinks prices are €6, similar to any European ski resort, with a choice of supermarkets, cafes, and steak houses of differing price ranges. The main Snowbombing venues will all use the Snowbombing Cashless system so we recommend taking half your money in Euros and topping up the other half onto your wristband. Don’t worry if you haven’t got enough on your band, you can top up in Euros or Sterling in the resort at any of the multiple top-up points.
Mayrhofen - The Resort
The village is a traditional, idyllic chocolate-box alpine village packed with traditional tyrolean builds. You won’t see any concrete 70’s blocks here – and it all sits tightly inside a huge valley. Everything is a stone’s throw away – the ski lifts, bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The local residents are lovely and incredibly enthusiastic about Snowbombing!
The accommodation is great, whatever your budget – whether you book an alpine apartment or a 4* hotel, the standards will always better your expectations. Families own the hotels, and they take pride in making them look the best that they can for you. You’ll get a nice breakfast included in all hotels and 2* B&B accommodations!
Apartments are very spacious, with catering equipment and kitchen area, plus lounge area, and bedrooms. Have a look at the accommodation page on the website, or ask anyone who went last year on Facebook, you’ll be impressed.
Mayrhofen sits at 630m, which granted is quite low in the mountains, but the ski lifts take you up to 1800m in 12 minutes where you will find more snow than you can shake a stick at. A great bonus of going to Mayrhofen for Snowbombing is that it’s nice and warm in April and you can hang out on the terraces for food and drink in the sunshine, but we always recommend ski-wear for hitting the slopes. Of course, no resort in the world can ever guarantee perfect snow, but Mayrhofen does a near perfect job for us each year, with the Tux Glacier within easy reach (with snow 365 days a year), and an army of snow cannons. For more information on skiing and snowboarding in Mayrhofen, visit our Snow Page.
Mayrhofen has slopes to cater for skiers and boarders of all abilities. Whether it’s your first time on the mountain or your 100th, make the most of it and book lessons, ranging from beginner to private and advanced lessons, all of which can be added on via your customer account.
Don’t worry; plenty of Snowbombers have never been to the mountains before! Now’s the perfect chance to get up there and learn to ski or snowboard – we provide lessons ranging from 2, 3 or 4 day x 2hr sessions, for both skiing and snowboarding, as well as private lessons for 1-4 people and ranging from 2-4hrs per session.
With 40+ restaurants and 20+ bars, you will never be short of options for refueling (and that’s not including the facilities on the mountain!) The great thing about Mayrhofen is that you will not find any of the extortionate drinks prices so common to many other European resorts. Food is also reasonably priced, so you shouldn’t find yourself burning through as much cash during the day as most ski holidays. Of course there’s also every Snowbomber’s best friend: Hans the Butcher, the best meat takeaway in town – opposite the Penken lift station. Ever been to a festival with so many options?!
Our venues and entertainment are split between the mountain and the village. Our mountain venues include The Snow Park Terrace, Mountain Stage, Rompa’s Reggae Shack and our optional extra, the Arctic Disco – an igloo at the top of the Ahorn Mountain hosting raves with previous artists including Carl Cox, Skrillex & Nina Kraviz! Our headliners and all artists on the lineup will perform at one of the venues within the village of Mayrhofen, at our Forest Stage, Racket Club, The Street Party and more. For more details please go to the venues page.
Sub-Zero sub-bass at 6000ft… The Arctic Disco is, literally, the coolest party on the planet! Dancing about inside a real igloo and sipping hot gluhwein under the stars. Tickets for these sell-out nights go on sale in 2020 – sign up to the SB newsletter now and follow us on social media, to ensure you don’t miss out! Upon release, you can add them via your customer account. Please note: In order to confirm your tickets, they must be paid in full upfront.
We like to keep things exciting, by adding new artists to the line-up as we get closer to the event. You can expect to see the majority of the schedule finished by December 2019.
If you’ve never been to a snow resort before, here’s a little rundown on what you need to bring…
- Waterproofs – ski pants and jacket are the best.
- Layers – these will keep you warmer than one big jacket.
- Sun cream – the climate is very deceiving… It’s easy to get burnt, even if you think there isn’t much sun; the altitude makes you more susceptible to the UV. Make sure you bring plenty of decent sun cream (not bronzing oil!), and some high factor stuff for your lips.
- Sunglasses/ Goggles – same as above – make sure they are decent and they actually protect you from the sun.
- Footwear – Bring a decent pair of boots. Essential if you’re participating in the Arctic Disco or you will be refused entry.
- Board/Ski – These are available to hire in the resort, or you can bring your own, there’s plenty of space on the transfer buses and there’s no extra charge.
And if you’ve never been on a Snowbombing holiday, then here’s what to bring:
- Glad rags – Bring plenty of going out clothes for the week, both for cold weather and warm weather… It can get pretty sweaty in those clubs!
- Fancy Dress – Keep your eyes peeled for the 2020 fancy dress themes!
- Towel and Swimwear – so you can make good use of all the fantastic swimming pools and well-being facilities – not to mention the Snowbombing pool party!
